Walk Reports Database
You can use the Walks Database to search for other walks
similar to that currently shown, or easier low-level walks, or more adventurous
high-level Munros and Corbetts.
Use the Search option for a specific mountain or hill, or, select Munro, Corbett or Others for a full listing of all walks in that category. There are currently almost 400 walks available on the database.
Search Hints: Single searches can be accomplished by a partial name search.
e.g. Entering ime, will return Beinn Ime, and any other hills with ime in the name. Similarly, entering Sgurr will return all occurances of Sgurr in the hill name. Searches are not case sensative and will respond to a partial name, e.g phar will return Beinn Pharlagain.
Beinn Dubh(642m) & 657m Top
Saturday 18th May 2024
Yet another very fine weekend, and with no high-level walks planned I simply returned to Luss for yet another wander up Beinn Dubh and onwards to the un-named 657m high point on the horseshoe ridge. Brilliant weather, very hot on the initial uphill, then thankfully a slight cooling breeze as I crossed Coire na h-Eanachan towards the 657m top, were I sat in brilliant sunshine for a very leisurely lunch
I retraced my steps for the return back over Beinn Dubh and down to Luss, as I prefer this option rather than descending into Glenmollochan and making the boring slog along the tarmac road through Glen Luss.
Another great day, and a good workout helping to maintain a modicum of hill fitness.
